2025 at Embark: A Year of Rescue, Recovery, and Hope

Throughout 2025, Embark remained dedicated to improving the lives of Sri Lanka’s street dogs through rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, adoptions, feeding programs, and community outreach. From responding to daily rescue cases and providing urgent medical care, to supporting flood-affected animals and caring for special needs dogs, our team worked tirelessly to ensure vulnerable animals received the help they deserved.

We continued our treatment efforts within communities, facilitated adoptions through direct requests and partner collaborations, and carried out consistent feeding rounds across Colombo. During the devastating floods, our rescue team provided emergency support by rescuing displaced dogs and feeding hundreds of animals in affected areas.

Despite the many challenges faced throughout the year, Embark’s commitment never wavered. Every rescue, recovery, and successful adoption in 2025 was made possible through the compassion of our community and dedication of the Embark team, helping us continue creating a safer and kinder world for Sri Lanka’s street dogs.
